Introduction
The 8th Conference on Autonomous Robot Systems and Competitions is the 2008 edition of the scientific meeting of the Portuguese Robotics Open - ROBÓTICA'2008 (http://robotica.ua.pt/robotica2008/), and will take place at the University of Aveiro, Portugal, in April 2nd, 2008. This conference aims to disseminate scientific contributions in areas of relevance to Autonomous Robotics. Its scope encompasses, but is not restricted to the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and Education.
